The first Wednesday hike - Lake Dorothy
We headed out Hwy 2 toward Stevens Pass to Lake Dorothy. This was a fairly easy hike but trying to find the right island was a bit tricky. The first one we tried to get to (which was the one Joe camped on) was about knee deep in mud to cross to. So we tried the first one and walked across on the logs. Beautiful day, warm and great for a swim. Rally liked the mud :) Ate lunch on the island then hurried back.
Tri season is over...hanging up the bikes
The end of the triathlon season marks the beginning of new adventures. Before the weekly 4 hour Wednesday rides begin, we must take a mental and physical break. What to do now?
How about hiking!!?!
I have done some hiking in the area and knew that Kris would LOVE the beauty that waits in the mountains. But can she let herself go slow enough to actually hike and not run. :)
